Newcastle Under Lyme is set to showcase its ambitious regeneration plans at UKREiiF, one of the UK's biggest property and investment conferences, taking place in Leeds from 19-21 May. Over 16,000 industry professionals will gather to discuss major development opportunities, with the council presenting a series of transformative projects for the borough.
Three landmark schemes are being delivered by Capital&Centric, representing significant change for Newcastle Under Lyme's town centre and surrounding areas. Astley Place will convert the old shopping centre into a mixed-use development featuring homes, shops and a music venue. Meanwhile, the Ryecroft scheme will deliver new homes and an aparthotel, while the Karparc development will transform the Midway car park into apartments.
The investment pipeline extends beyond the town centre. Chatterley Park, already completed, is primed to create 1,700 jobs and generate £67 million a year in economic value once fully occupied. A major development site adjacent to the M6's Junction 16 could deliver a further 3,500 jobs, while a new housing scheme near Keele University would build up to 900 homes.
Deputy chief executive Simon McEneny will represent Newcastle Under Lyme at three events during the conference, presenting these opportunities to key decision makers and potential investors from across the UK property and investment sector.
