A Newcastle Under Lyme volunteer has revealed a cheeky secret from nearly four decades of dedicated work at a local festival site. Helen Sherwin helped landscape the grounds back in 1986 and admits the team planted some trees upside down for a laugh.

Nearly 37 years on, she continues to care for the grounds she first helped transform.
