A Newcastle Under Lyme pub is haemorrhaging cash as road closures linked to bridge repairs continue to devastate trade. The establishment is losing a staggering ú5,000 every week, with customers unable to access the premises due to the extended closure. Road closures have now dragged on for more than six months with no end in sight.

The situation is set to worsen significantly this summer when the actual repair works are finally scheduled to begin.
