Five candidates are standing in a by-election for a seat on Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council in Town ward. The by-election is being held following the resignation of the previous councillor.
Voting will take place on Thursday, 8 October. Polling stations will close at 10pm, with ballot counting to follow shortly after.
Current Council Position
The borough council has 44 seats in total. Including this vacancy, Reform UK currently holds 26 seats, the Conservative Party holds 15 seats, and Labour holds 2 seats.
Sheelagh Casey-Hulme continues as the other borough councillor representing Town ward and is unaffected by this by-election.
Voting Requirements
