The Cherry Tree, a family-friendly Hungry Horse pub on London Road in Newcastle-under-Lyme, is set to temporarily close from Monday 5 August while it undergoes a six-figure renovation. The pub is due to reopen towards the end of the month with a refreshed look, more open-plan bar and dining space, and an expanded food and drinks offer.
Part of pub company and brewer Greene King, the much-loved venue will receive new furniture and décor throughout, with its function room upgraded for larger events and celebrations. Toilets are also being fully refurbished.
When the Cherry Tree relaunches, guests can expect the return of its breakfast menu — served from 9am, seven days a week — plus a new self-serve coffee machine offering free refills throughout the day.
The pub is currently hiring new team members ahead of reopening. Menus and table bookings will be available via the Greene King app once doors reopen.
