Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council's Civic Pride campaign is visiting three villages this week to work with residents and volunteers on cleaning and improving neighbourhoods.
The campaign will arrive in Keele on Wednesday, 23 September, followed by Madeley and Betley on Friday, 25 September. The council is partnering with Aspire Housing and Staffordshire Police for the visits.
What's happening
On Wednesday 23 September at 10am, teams will meet at Knights Croft, Keele, for a walkabout and litter pick, along with bulb planting.
On Friday 25 September, teams will meet at Madeley Centre at 10am to start a litter pick in the local area.
Purpose of the campaign
The Civic Pride programme brings people together to create cleaner, safer and better-kept neighbourhoods. Residents help identify the issues that matter most in their own communities.
Cllr. Andrew Fisher, Cabinet member for Residents' Services and Neighbourhoods, said: "People in Keele, Madeley and Betley know their communities better than anyone. We want to listen to them, tackle the problems they raise and work alongside the fantastic volunteers who already give their time to make these villages a better place."
The Civic Pride campaign continues to visit communities across the borough as part of the council's commitment to creating cleaner, safer and more welcoming places for residents, businesses and visitors.
